How fast are results provided?

Because these tests need to be sent to a lab for testing, standard turnaround time is 48 hours. For a $50 lab rush fee, labs will return results by midnight the next day for tests administered Monday through Friday by 11am MST. Rush tests administered Saturday will be returned Monday by midnight and Sunday’s tests will be returned Tuesday by midnight. Rush testing is only available at our Salt Lake City and Park City locations.

Insurance companies do not reimburse testing for travel, but we offer a discounted self-pay price of $150 for travelers.

How accurate are the results?

Sensitivity – 98%; Specificity – 100%. This means that if the test is negative, there is a 2% chance of a false negative. But if the test is positive, it is 100% accurate. The PCR test is more accurate than the Rapid Antigen test.

Should I get the Antigen or PCR test?

Both the Antigen and PCR test for the active virus. The PCR test is slightly more accurate but results take longer: 24-48 hours. If time is of the essence, we will provide you with the results of your Antigen test within 10 minutes.
